  • David Andersen Pianos
    True artisans and technicians, David Andersen Pianos maintains the Yamaha grand piano in the live room of The Sound Boutique Studios. We named that space "The Triple-A Room" to designate it as an Andersen Atelier Annex and to honor David's longtime mentor who reminds us that to become great at anything we must humbly live "Always AApprentice." If you need a piano serviced or tuned in the LA area, there is none better.
  • John Braheny
    John Braheny is the author of The Craft & Business of Songwriting, often considered the "songwriter's Bible."  Generous friend to and guest at The Songwriting School of Los Angeles, much of his personal library and the very shelves those volumes sit on constitute The Braheny Bookshelves at The Songwriting School.  His website remains a resource for songwriters of any genre. John passed away in 2013, but his legacy and the lasting imprint he left on songwriters near and far grows daily, and his example to honor and nurture songwriters is one we humbly and gratefully seek to perpetuate.

  • Blue Railroad: Online Literary Magazine & Home to TSSLA Instructor, Author, & Songwriter Paul Zollo
    Paul Zollo is a respected author, photographer, and songwriter whose essential collection of interviews Songwriters on Songwriting is required reading for songwriters.  This online literary magazine offers a diverse collection of Paul's talents.  The real-time show Songwriters on Songwriting, LIVE! - Interviews by Paul Zollo takes place right here at The Songwriting School of Los Angeles.

  • Paul Zollo Photography
    Paul is not only a songwriter, author, and educator, he is a professional photographer shooting (and writing for) events like The Grammys each year. Many of Paul's photos populate the website of The Songwriting School of Los Angeles and are used with gratitude and by permission.

  • Jacki Sackheim Photography
    Jacki Sackheim has a keen eye, and in a brief visit to a rehearsal of student performances managed to capture both the spirit of this creative community and the personalities of the talented performers she photographed. Many of her photographs are on the home page of The Songwriting School of Los Angeles website, and while formatting has cropped out most of her copyright/credits, we want to thank, credit, and acknowledge her for her fantastic work.   • Lis Lewis:  The Singers Workshop
    Lis Lewis is a renowned vocal and performance coach whose clients include Rihanna, Gwen Stefani, Colbie Caillat, Britney Spears, Linkin Park, and a list too long to name here.  Lis teaches workshops and classes from time to time at The Songwriting School of Los Angeles and headed up our first installment of Community Chorus.

  • Michael Wilson, Photographer
    Michael Wilson has taken some of the most iconic album cover photos and portraits of some of our favorite artists:  Lyle Lovett, Randy Newman, Emmylou Harris, Joe Henry, David Byrne, David Wilcox, Philip Glass, The Black Keys, Over the Rhine, and the list goes on.  Michael has graciously agreed to allow The Songwriting School to exhibit his work, summer 2009.

  • Phil Cody: Words & Music
    Phil Cody's songs have been recorded by artists as diverse and successful as Sheryl Crow, Clay Aiken, Elvis Presley, and Huey Lewis & The News.  The long-time collaborator with Neil Sedaka and former Brill Building tenant is a frequent guest to The Songwriter's Workshop on Wednesday nights, is a Master Teacher in The Masters' Workshop, and teaches Lyrics with Phil Cody 1-2  times per year. Phil Cody is available for private consultations through The Songwriting School of Los Angeles.
