Every class meeting takes place in a professional recording studio. Under the guidance of two accomplished mentors, you will co-write and record a song, from a baby idea to a fully realized production. You'll learn and practice...
- professional collaboration
- how to negotiate and agree to splits/collaboration
- how to conceive of the production
- building the arrangement
- scratch tracks and building the rhythm section
- part writing
- vocal production and tracking lead and background vocals
- effects and sweeteners
- editing and preparing the mix
- the mix and what happens next
You will co-write the song you record, but you will receive additional personal, private mentorship on YOUR music and your path from our distinguished instructors.
Class meets Saturday afternoons 2-5pm PT in-person and over zoom, starting SAT 7/29 with the Writing Camp! (with full videos available on-demand), and Thursdays 8-10pm . Class ends THURS 8/24 (before Labor Day Weekend)
