Formerly "Conquer Your Fear as an Artist," this is an essential performance class for all creatives who use their voice to express themselves.
In this interactive class with top vocal performance coach Joy Graysen, you will get to the core of what you're trying to say and learn to say it as authentically as possible -- as a singer -- with courage and conviction. You will find your true voice as a singer by accessing the true voice of the character your songs. This class is more than an exploration of song interpretation: it is a masterclass in self-expression and the enduring self-confidence that comes from it. Joy Graysen has worked with singers who have graced national and international stages, like American Idol finalist Allison Iraheta. Joy specializes in creating vocal excellence in singers of all ages and finding and developing each artist's individual style and their own unique brand.
This class is designed as a hybrid for returning Joy Graysen and brand new students to the class. Returning Joy Graysen class students get $100 off any season you return!
Joy is also teaching an Advanced, Audition-only vocal performance and artist development class called Becoming Iconic (coming in SPRING 2019!)

About the Instructor:
Joy Graysen has worked with singers who have graced national and international stages, like American Idol finalist Allison Iraheta. Joy specializes in creating vocal excellence in singers of all ages and finding and developing each artist's individual style and their own unique brand.
The techniques she teaches will give you:
1. Dramatically Increased Range - by giving you the ability to sing higher and lower notes than you ever have before.
2. Amazing Breath Control - increasing power, length of notes and phrase, and control over dynamic nuance (loud and soft) and vibrato.
3. Full and Rich Tone - learning "open vowel" techniques that create gorgeous color and spread of the actual sound of your voice.
4. Control over your "Break" - (the spot in your voice where you transition between your "chest" voice and your "head/falsetto" voice) You will learn how to transition between the two registers seamlessly in addition to increasing your "chest" or "core" voice.
If you've ever felt like your voice was a beautiful bird locked in a cage, the Joy Graysen philosophy and techniques will open the door to that cage to free your voice allowing it to soar the way you've always dreamed it would.
