With more than twenty years touring and song pitching experience in Europe, Brett Perkins will share his overview of the current scene, strategies and opportunities for those seeking to tour and market their songs overseas in this free and open event at The Songwriting School of Los Angeles on Wednesday, 6/8, 7:30pm.

In this presentation, QnA, and conversation, Brett Perkins will unpack the Why, When, Where, and How of building in-roads in Europe and elsewhere that might allow a performing songwriter opportunities to perform and place songs in various international markets.

An active consultant, guest teacher, tour and event producer, Brett has traveled to 38 countries thus far, working with over 1000 artists from more than 30 countries.

His voice and songs have appeared on more than twenty releases since his early '80's debut in the L.A. club scene, including six albums in Denmark, all of which have received extensive international airplay, film and tv placements (MTV's Road Rules, NBC Movie Of The Week, Scandinavian series 'Anna Pihl'), Awards (1st Prize/Great American Song Contest, Pop Category, 1st Prize/Australian Song Contest International Category) and commercial releases by other artists, including the Top 10 debut single, "Breaking News" by Sony artist Mads Langer.

Brett is currently recording and touring with Copenhagen based band, The Pawnshop Preachers, Folk/Pop duo Michaut/Perkins and as a solo artist and is also the founder of the Copenhagen Songwriters Festival, Listening Room International Songwriter Retreats, Tours, Artist Consulting and Guest Speaking.

Past roles include CEO/National Academy of Songwriters, Publisher/ SongTalk Magazine, Producer/Salute To The American Songwriter, Executive Director/Kerrvile Folk Festival Foundation, Founding Partner/Unisong International Song Contest, TAXI A&R, Radio Host/ Notes From The Acoustic Underground.
