Derick Sebastian is a Ukulele Virtuoso, Entertainer, Singer/Songwriter, and Instructor from Maui whose passion for life and skill on his instrument make him a riveting and inspiring performer.  Derick is on the mainland to appear at the NAMM Festival in Anaheim and to perform for the cast and crew of Grey's Anatomy.  The Songwriting School of Los Angeles is proud and honored to welcome him here for a night of performance and instruction.

What:  First, Derick will be give a performance and presentation on the native instrument of his Hawai'ian Island home.  Then after a short break, those who would like to stay will enjoy a group lesson with a master. There will be QnA opportunities throughout.

• am a singer/songwriter looking to use the ukelele as part of my act or as a writing tool.

• already play the ukelele and want to get better.

• play guitar but don't want to learn ukelele necessarily.  This is a chance to learn from a master soloist.  Bring your guitar for the lesson portion, as the ukes and guitars can all play along.

• love music and the chance to hear a remarkable performer in an intimate environment and be able to ask questions.

Admission:   Proceeds from the event go to the Youth Program Scholarship Fund at The Songwriting School, providing after-school and weekend songwriting and music learning opportunities for young people of writerly age.  There will be a suggested donation of $20.  Pay what you can.  Those who pay $20 or more get their name entered in a raffle to win a ukelele.
