songwriting class introduction
Rescheduled for April!  Gifted vocal coach & voice instructor Michael Goodrich will give you singers the two things you most need:  an increased range and improved strength and confidence across that range.  In 8 Weeks to Killer Vocals, you will work with one of LA's most sought-after vocal coaches in group and individual training to build the instrument you have always dreamed of, allowing you to sing with confidence and power every time.
Tuesdays, starting 2/7/12:  Clay Drayton is a Gold & Platinum Award winning Songwriter/Producer.  He's written, produced, arranged & played for some of the greatest legends of all times like Michael Jackson of The Jackson 5, Diana Ross, The Supremes, Bette Middler, Lenny Williams of Tower of Power to name a few.  His 40+ years in the Music Industry, with Motown & 20th Century Records, have caused him to be a highly respected and sought after seminar speaker and instructor of songwriting.

Starts February 13, 2012  :  He writes with Babyface every day. He penned the Grammy-nominated and BMI Song of the Year "No Air" for Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown. Now Erik "Blu2th" Griggs teaches you what to do once you get "in the room" to take your songs to the Next Level, from Good to Great.

In this six-week class, Blu2th will mix presentation, demonstration, an examination of hit songs, his songs, and some of your songs, along with exercises to develop an enhanced skillset to take you to the next level in your path as a songwriter.

Wildly Popular!  Starts 2/9/12  : Work with the Grammy winning Songwriter Tim Fagan (“Lucky” Jason Mraz/Colbie Caillat) and hunt down more of those moments that give you and your audience goosebumps.  You'll be challenged each week with in- and out-of-class exercises and song assignments grooved to get you writing catchier music than you ever have before.  Understand copyright law and how to use your influences legitimately to create songs alongside your heroes.

When:  6 Thursday nights, starting 2/9/12 (6 weeks)

Tuition: $350

Next Section starts February 13, 2012:  Philip Cody's career as a songwriter has earned him numerous #1 hits, gold and platinum records, and ASCAP songwriter awards.  He was a tenant in the fabled Brill Building, writing songs with and for Neil Sedaka and alongside Hall of Famers like Lieber & Stoller and Goffin & King.  His work has been recorded by artists as diverse as Elvis, Sheryl Crow, Huey Lewis & the News, and Clay Aiken.
