Jack Tempchin is best known for writing the Eagles classic "Peaceful Easy Feeling," and co-writing other Eagles hits, including "Already Gone," "The Girl From Yesterday," "Somebody," and "It's Your World Now." With Glenn Frey, he wrote “You Belong to the City,” “Smuggler's Blues," “The One You Love,” “I Found Somebody" and "True Love.". He was a founding member of The Funky Kings, along with the great Jules Shear, and for whom he wrote “Swayin' to the Music (Slow Dancing)," which they recorded before it became a Top-10 pop hit for Johnny Rivers, and a Top-10 country hit for Johnny Duncan. He’s also had songs recorded by Glen Campbell, Emmylou Harris, George Jones, Tanya Tucker, Tom Rush, Candye Kane, the Phantom Blues Band and many others. As a solo artist, he’s recorded nine solo albums, most recently the critically-acclaimed Learning To Dance.
