SInger/Songwriter Tim Blane is based in Boston and LA and visits The Songwriter's Workshop when he is not touring.

If you own a Mac you might recognize Tim Blane as the guy who gives the guitar and piano lessons in Garageband. You might recognize his thoughtful, smart, dead-catchy music from a radio near you, most recently from 2011's studio release 'You Can't Go Back'. Tim visits The Songwriter's Workshop, the advanced weekly writers group, when he is off the road and in LA.
Since 2006, he’s played clubs and colleges throughout the US, slowly building a grass roots fan base. Along the way he has shared the stage with acts like the Goo Goo Dolls, Cake, OneRepublic, KT Tunstall, Fabolous and Sister Hazel. He’s garnered accolades like a Boston Music Award nomination, 2 finals appearances in the Starbucks Songwriting Competition, and 14 different Ourstage.com wins. His song “Magnetic” is currently a finalist of the 2011 International Songwriting Competition, and CAA’s 2009 “Cassandra Report” named him (along with acts like Lady Gaga) an artist to watch.
