Originally from Rochester, New York, guitarist Bill LaFleur relocated to Los Angeles where he studied composition and film scoring at UCLA. He has worked as a freelance music transcriber with dozens of published works for most major publishing companies including music portfolios from such diverse artists as Sheryl Crow, Dream Theater, Dwight Yoakam and many others. He is also a demonstrator for Yamaha Guitars and has taught for over a decade at Musician's Institute.

Currently transcribing The Beatles' classic Magical Mystery Tour for Hal Leonard Publishing, Bill is uniquely qualified to teach Beatles for Guitar: A Songwriting Study.  In addition, his patience and passion for teaching make his small-group Complete Guitarist series much loved.
